CARESORB® is a sterile multi-fiber synthetic autolytic surgical thread composed of a copolymer composed of 90% glycolide and 10% L-Lactide, coated with Polyglactin 370 and Calcium stearate. Only be dyed purple (FDA D&C Violet No. 2 – CI 60725) or not dyed (Undyed).
Polyglactin 910 surgery only has other names: Poly (glycolide-co-L-lactide) 90/10, Glacomer 91, Lactomer 9-1, Polyglycolic Acid 9-1, PGLA is equivalent to only Vicryl in terms of safety and effective.
CARESORB® surgical thread keeps the best stitches for 30 days. Completely dissolving time (decomposition by hydrolysis) is 56 to 70 days from the time of suture.

CARESORB® surgery only is not recommended for use in cardiomyopathy, vascular and nerve tissue surgery. Not to be used for surgery of tissues that require a long suture retention.

The product is sterilized by Ethylene Oxide gas. No re-sterilization, no reuse. Do not use products with torn or deformed packaging.
Store in cool, temperature <25⁰C, away from moisture and direct heat. The Lot number and Expiry date are shown on the package. Shelf life 5 years from date of manufacture.
